The American star had a successful partnership with Moyano. Despite the split, Gauff is taking it in her stride and focusing on the upcoming clay season. The split has left her with a tough decision regarding her coaching situation with the French Open on the horizon. As of now, she has reverted to training with her father, whom she had worked with in the past.
In her press conference, Gauff said, “Yeah, it wasn’t like my decision. He was having some personal things going on, so he had to step down. So I wouldn’t say it was something that I think both of us didn’t want to happen because we did have such a good time together.”

Gauff added, “But, you know, I understand that, and I wish him nothing but the best. I know that he’s always a person. If I need to call he’ll pick up the phone, and I had a great year with him.
