Aryna Sabalenka is currently preparing for the Wimbledon Championships after her heartbreaking defeat in the French Open semifinals. She proved her dominance in the first round of the German Open by defeating Vera Zvonareva in straight sets (6-3 6-2). This victory perked up the Grand Slam winner and instilled much-needed confidence for Wimbledon Championships. After winning the match, Sabalenka was told that she was just five years old when the tournament was played on the clay. Twenty years ago, Zvonareva won her first match as an up-and-coming player against a top-ten seed in the same tournament. Now she lost to a top ten seed as a legend.

Sabalenka’s reply to this interesting fact was what caught the attention of the entire stadium, sending them into fits of laughter.

Sabalenka said, “I totally agree with you. That’s crazy.
