Wozniacki wishes daughter Olivia on first birthday

The 31-year-old took to Instagram to wish her daughter on her first birthday. The celebrations looked in full swing, as the caption read, “Our little girl is 1.” Wozniacki got married in June 2019 to former NBA star David Lee. Later that year, she stunned the world by announcing her retirement.

The Dane also helps raise awareness of rheumatoid arthritis, a condition which affected her back in 2018. The disease causes stiff and painful joints, with her unable to “move from the bed.” However, she returned to play after a strict diet and stress management regime.

“After Wimbledon in the summer of 2018, I felt like I had been hit by a bad case of the flu. I even pulled out of playing matches because of it. A real ‘hitting home’ moment was waking up in bed and telling my boyfriend (now husband) David that I couldn’t move. I physically couldn’t move.” She spoke in an interview back in 2021.

Caroline Wozniacki finally wins a major

Wozniacki was impressive on the WTA Tour during her playing days. Despite an early retirement at 29, she has a huge list of achievements in her professional career. Wozniacki won 31 WTA titles while also reaching the US Open finals twice in 2009 and 2014.

Her Grand Slam luck finally turned to her side in 2018, after she beat Simona Halep in the Australian Open final. The win also propelled her to the World No. 1 ranking again. Wozniacki also represented Denmark at the international level, along with winning the WTA Finals in 2017.

Outside of tennis, Wozniacki is an active campaigner of Advantage Hers, raising awareness for women with chronic inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis.
