Serena Williams, the former American tennis ace, shares a strong bond with the retired Danish star Caroline Wozniacki. The duo often hang out together and encourage each other on social media. It was the same case in 2018 when Wozniacki shared Olympia’s adorable pictures on her social media. Olympia was seen wearing accessories from her favorite aunt, Caroline Wozniacki, and looked elegant as she sported her aunt’s goggles in style.


Williams was once cited by the Dane as someone who she always looked up to. She added that despite having achieved so much in tennis, the American great always effectively balanced both her professional and life lives.

Wozniacki, the former Danish Tennis player, had once shared her love and admiration for Serena Williams’ daughter, Olympia. In 2018, she tweeted the then 9-month-old’s pictures on her Twitter handle. In their eleven meetings throughout their careers, the Odense-born player has won just once. Wozniacki and Williams have always had a close friendship despite their fierce competition on the tennis court. Wozniacki had tweeted, “Loved spending time with this little love bug today @OlympiaOhanian !!”

In 2018, Wozniacki worked with OVVO Optics to produce a limited-edition collection. Seven wearable styles were included in the women’s collection, and each was offered in three colors.

The glasses had looked adorable on Olympia. Wozniacki further added in her tweet, “I think she liked my @ovvooptics sunglasses 😎😂”

At the 2020 Australian Open, the Dane competed in her final competitive match before she retired from tennis. In the third-round match of the tournament, she lost to the Tunisian star, Ons Jabeur in three sets. Wozniacki competed at the ASB Classic in Auckland, New Zealand, in both the singles and doubles events as the penultimate competition of her career. She had teamed up with the 23-time Grand Slam champion in the doubles event and reached the final.

Serena received a kind message from her best friend

After Serena Williams announced her decision to step away from the sport, the Dane said that she was proud of her and all that she has accomplished in her impressive career. The American had posted several images from her Vogue photo shoot on her Instagram, and her friend took to the comment section and wrote “I love you and so proud of you”.

The Dane once stated that she enjoys watching Williams and hopes that the American will win her 24th Major title soon. Wozniacki believed Williams deserved the title. Although Serena didn’t win the elusive 24th Grand Slam title, she retired as the most successful tennis player in the open era.
