Serena Williams’ husband and the Reddit co-founder is undoubtedly aware of the incumbent and the upcoming competition in the market; technology has further contributed to it. But it has also led to the emergence of new market leaders, such as Jeff Bezos. However, to be at the top of the World, Jeff Bezos, the founder of the e-commerce site Amazon, once had to face the heat of the market leaders to ensure the existence of Amazon.
Even though those days are behind Amazon, the founder gave a glimpse of the trying times in an interview recently shared on Twitter. And the Angel City FC owner was quick to respond to the inspirational words.

Recently, on Twitter, a user (Brandon Arvanaghi), shared an interview with one of the World’s richest men, Jeff Bezos. The snippet shared reveals the time when Amazon was in the nascent stage and had to face competition from one of the established brands, Barnes & Noble. During the ‘scary phase’, B&N had 30,000 employees whereas, Amazon had 125, with a revenue of just $60 mn. And B&N had launched their online store.

With parents worried about the employment of their kin, at Amazon, Bezos advised his 125 employees, with all hands met; to not be afraid of their competitors, as they were never going to send any monetary benefits to Amazon, but customers would do. So he cautioned the employees to be afraid of the customers. And Ohanian, in response, recapitulated the same lesson in his Tweet. He said, “Make something your customers love. If you can do this, your competition doesn’t matter.”

Well, one could say that the Amazon boss’ mantra did work. Currently, Amazon is operating in 13 countries.

Alexis Ohanian and Jeff Bezos’ $35 Million support for childcare crisis
Both influential founders have supported causes for the upliftment of society. Earlier this year, Amazon’s founder and Reddit founder donated $35 mn in support of Robin hood (a charity). The huge donation was made in support of childcare and to alleviate the issues caused by poverty in New York City.

However, this is not the only time their thoughts and actions converged. During Donald Trump’s reign, both joined hands with critics of the Trump travel ban.
