As a result, it has given a new life to her tennis career and she will be back on the court soon. Meanwhile, Mouratoglou, who has faced massive criticism for his involvement in Halep’s doping case, has faced substantial heat from fans, moments after Halep’s ban was reduced.

One fan took to Twitter and was brutal in his comment on Serena Williams’ ex-coach, saying, “Patrick Mouratoglou, straight to jail. do not pass go, do not collect $200.”

Another fan questioned about the effect of Halep’s ban reduction on Mouratoglou, asking, “Does is affect Patrick Mouratoglou in some way?”

One fan echoed the common fan sentiment about Mouratoglou getting punished, and said, “Patrick Mouratoglou and his corrupt academy should’ve been banned instead of Simona.”

One of the Twitter users took a sarcastic jibe at the legendary coach, saying, “I wonder if Patrick Mouratoglou will say something.”

Lastly, one fan had an interesting opinion about Halep’s comeback, and said, “Gonna’ be real awkward when Simona Halep runs into Patrick Mouratoglou when she plays Miami in a few weeks…”

Not only fans but also Simona Halep has lashed out at Mouratoglou and the coaching staff for their involvement in her doping case. Halep felt that Mouratoglou broke her trust and was betrayed by him. Following her doping ban, she made a saddening confession about the legendary coach.

In the wake of her doping ban a few months back, Halep appeared in a series of interviews. In one such interview, she opened up about Mouratoglou’s involvement in her doping case and removed him as the coach.

She said, “It’s true that he went out. I wish he could have done that a little bit earlier. I have stopped working with the academy since a while already. So I always trusted this and my trust is broken a little bit right now. And in the future, I don’t know how it’s going to be if I can trust again..”
