Djokovic was not Kostyuk’s only idol growing up

Marta Kostyuk secured her first WTA title in 2018 after beating Antonia Lottner. It was in the interview after this match that she first talked about her idol in tennis. Revealing the fact that she had no such idols growing up, Kostyuk also opened up about how her style of playing differs from Novak Djokovic’s.“He wasn’t really like who I was looking for, because we’re not the same with the styles,” Kostyuk further stated in that interview.
