Serena Williams has connections with some of the biggest names in the world. Beyonce, Mike Tyson, Snoop Dogg, and many other global celebrities are on close terms with Williams. Well, the illustrious list does not just end here as the Duchess of Sussex makes her way into it. Meghan Markle indeed happens to be one of Serena Williams’ best friends.

Talking about the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is always among the headlines. Popularly known for starring in certain hit TV shows, the 41-year-old has a large fan following as well. According to a recent report, one of her shows has broken viewership records across the globe.

Meghan Markle’s legal-drama TV show Suits has been a fan favorite for years now. Across its nine seasons, it has never failed to meet the fans’ expectations. The show is always trending among Netflix weekly hits. However, the newest record is quite extraordinary even for the standards previously set by the show.

Suits, which only recently made its Netflix premiere, amassed a whopping 3.14 billion minutes of watching time over the week of June 26 to July 2. For context, it was 65 million more than the previous record holder ‘Manifest’ which reached its peak at 2.49 billion minutes.

Meghan Markle is accustomed to breaking such records at this point. Last year in December, she was featured in the docuseries, “Harry and Meghan”. The docuseries broke the record for the most-watched debut series after hitting 81.6 million hours of streaming in just the first four days.

Prince Harry and Meghan signed a $20 million deal with Spotify back in 2020. However, two years later the deal was cut short. The pair’s positivity-focused podcasting initiatives appear to have made some listeners uncomfortable. They failed to live up to the expectations with the deal despite Serena Williams’ appearance in the opening episode of the podcast.

However, the deal does not seem to bother Markle as she continues to steal all the limelight in the OTT industry. A rare deal failure will not affect the legacy she has already built for herself.
