One Senator represents Florida, Gauff’s current residence and the other represents Georgia, Gauff’s birthplace. This makes the honor even more special and widens the scope for Gauff to continue to be the change starting from the states close to her. The official statement of resolution praised the champion for her work, which is creating waves in the sports world and America.
