Recently, Howard Jacobs, anti-doping legal specialist, made a huge revelation regarding how the case became super complicated in such a way that a huge sum of around $2 million, that one “cannot even imagine”, was used in prosecuting her.

The two-time Grand Slam champion of the 2022 US Open failed to pass a doping test, which eventually created a problem for her in such a way that she was held back from playing tennis. But she didn’t give up and kept on fighting, and now, after almost 2 years of trying to reveal the truth, she has finally proved that she was not entirely at fault for her positive doping test.

At first, he highlighted how doping cases come and go as the evidence is clear and either you agree with the sanction or you fight over the it, but the Romanian player’s case was so different and highlighted how the tennis governing bodies spend millions of dollars prosecuting her case.

The case became super, super complicated. I can’t even imagine how much money they spent prosecuting it. Cannot even imagine.” When asked to ballpark it, the attorney added, “I’m going to say it’s at least $2 million because they had so many experts and they had so many lawyers and everything was fought.
