The tennis career of the young Canadian sensation, Bianca Andreescu has been marred with injuries right from the start. After stunning the tennis world by defeating Serena Williams in the US Open 2019 finals, she has had a difficult time dealing with injuries.
Immediately after the US Open 2019, Andreescu had to withdraw from the WTA finals in October that year owing to a knee injury. The same injury kept her away from tennis throughout 2020. However, she showed confidence during her comeback in 2021.

The Canadian returned to the professional tour at the Miami Open this year and straightaway managed to reach the finals. On the route to the final, Andreescu defeated some tough opponents like Maria Sakkari, Garbine Muguruza, and Amanda Anisimova. In the finals against Ashleigh Barty, she was down a set before trampling on-court.
Following that mishap, the Canadian was forced to retire from the match and handed over the title to the Australian. However, Andreescu confirmed her participation in the upcoming Madrid Open.
