Even if you are just a casual NFL follower, the chances that you’ve heard the name Tom Brady are pretty high. Arguably the biggest name in football, Brady has had an extremely successful career. After 22 illustrious NFL seasons, the legendary quarterback finally announced his retirement from professional football.
Brady played with the New England Patriots for 20 years. But for the last two seasons of his fantastic career, he has been with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Via an Instagram post, 44-year-old Brady said that he’s “so proud” of what he, along with his coaches and teammates, has achieved. However, he felt it was time to “leave the field of play to the next generation of dedicated and committed athletes.”

“This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention,” he said.

By ‘everything to come’ Ohanian could have been referring to companies Brady has co-founded like the apparel brand BRADY, TB 12 Sports, and the NFT platform Autograph. Ohanian, like Brady, is also a known NFT enthusiast. He wore a representation of his wife’s Cryptopunk NFT on his lapel at the Met Gala and is known for giving his wife Serena Williams’ NFT gifts.
