What started as a serious Twitter banter seems to have turned into a mock fest between AEW President Tony Khan and former RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff. At least that is how it is being seen by Eric Bischoff and his peers.

Bischoff and Khan started feuding online after the latter went on a Twitter rant about the double standards of pro-wrestling fans for not calling out WWE’s decision to push Jinder Mahal to face Seth Rollins for the world heavyweight championship, but when he pushed AEW’s Hook to face Samoa Joe, he was criticized. This led to Jinder being backed by some WWE legends, including Eric Bischoff, who replied with a clown emoji. And this simple emoji led to Pandora’s box being forced open, about which the former WCW senior VP spoke recently.

In a recent clip of his 83-week podcast on YouTube, Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson discuss the 68-year-old’s relationship with AEW as well as how a simple emoji culminated into a banter between him and Tony Khan. Thompson pointed out that while the feud seemed like it started seriously, now it looks like this has turned into a lighthearted mockfest between the two and asked Bischoff to shed some light on it.

Clearing the air on whether the feud is a serious one or not, Bischoff opened up on a guilty pleasure of his. He said, “I was having a blast. I mean, literally, it started… I have an infrared sauna in my studio, and I do about 90 minutes a day. Usually I do it in the mornings, but I was doing it in the evening for whatever reason. I’m looking at this stuff, that’s kind of when it started, when I was in the sauna, and I’m laughing my a** off in sauna it was just, it was funny and I had a blast doing it.”

He further added, “I think I told you the next day, man I, and I guess I shouldn’t at this stage of my life, my age but fu**in with people on social media is a guilty pleasure of mine”

Well, it looks like it was lighthearted, at least for Bischoff. But would it mean that they would be willing to work together somewhere in the future? Since that is what most AEW fans accused, the 68-year-old badmouths AEW because Tony did not hire him. But Bischoff recently cleared the air on that front.

Eric Bischoff is thankful for not being all-elite

In the same podcast with Conrad Thompson, Bischoff discussed all the rumors surrounding the former senior vice president of WCW asking Tony Khan to book him and Khan’s decision to not hire him, leading to a series of unnecessary critiques towards AEW.

However, according to Bischoff, no such conversation actually occurred. Addressing the rumors, he says, “I get exhausted seeing some of those comments: ‘Oh he’s just a hater’, ‘He wants it to fail, he’s jealous’ and the one that makes me laugh the most is ‘Oh he’s just upset because Tony KH wouldn’t give him a job’. I thank the Lord every day that I don’t have to go to work for a guy like Tony Khan.”

The rumor caught fire after AEW’s Dax stated in an interview that many critics of the promotion started badmouthing AEW after the company refused to hire them. He said, “There’s a couple of podcasters out there that bury AEW, that that would love a job with Tony. There’s one or two that wouldn’t but I know there’s quite a few that glowingly talked about AEW initially and when Tony didn’t give them a job, now, all of a sudden they’re talking crap about it.”

So it looks like while the feud may not be as serious as it began, the chances of Bischoff being all-elite are still very slim. What do you think? Can we expect Bischoff to be a part of AEW? Let us know in the comments.
