Samoa Joe is the current AEW World Champion, and after retaining the title against Hook, he may have been feeling lucky. However, on this episode of AEW Dynamite, his dreams of having an easy title run may have come crashing down after a huge announcement for his next title defense. This led to a rather aggressive outburst backstage, where he called out Tony Khan’s booking.

This would not be the first time someone called out Khan for his booking. The same was seen with the entire women’s division.

AEW Dynamite started out with Swerve Strickland vs. Adam Page for a shot at Joe’s AEW World title. However, much to the fans’ disappointment, the match ended in a draw. The timer for the match ran out before anyone could get the pin. While this may have sounded like good news for Joe, Khan announced a triple-threat match between Joe, Page, and Swerve for the title at AEW Revolution.

This led to Joe’s backstage outburst, where he said, “Once again, we celebrate mediocrity, this was a draw.” He continued by calling out Khan’s booking. Joe said, “But once again, the powers at Be stack the deck.” He claimed that Khan didn’t want him as the Champion, but it was not Khan’s choice; it was Joe’s hard work.

Joe won the AEW World Championship from MJF at AEW World’s End. This came with a little help from The Devil, which surprised no one as fans were speculating that would happen. Tony Khan is making Joe’s reign a living hell

If you asked Joe, that is what Khan is doing. According to the current AEW World Champion, Khan doesn’t want him to be the champion and is ensuring he facing odds that will make him lose. However, Joe being Joe, claimed that he was the champion and he would be walking out of Revolution as the champion.

According to speculation, despite not being a part of the online roaster anymore, MJF might return to challenge Joe for the title. As the former Champion is granted one rematch for the title, this could be the reason why Khan is ensuring Joe doesn’t have the best time as the Champion. Moreover, Joe betrayed MJF for the win, which makes a good storytelling angle when he returns.
