Another WWE turned AEW star spoke about WWE. However, unlike other Superstars, she actually had something positive to say. AEW superstar Tay Conti praised Nikki Cross and gave the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion a shout out on Twitter.

As a part of the twitter thread, female Superstars were giving a shout out to their inspirations. Tay Conti picked out Nikki Cross and revealed that the latter pushed her to be her absolute best version.

WWE Hall of Famer Medusa/ Alundra Blayze started the thread to spread positivity. Tay Conti came into the picture after AEW superstar Rebel gave her a shout out.

WWE released Taynara Conti in April this year due to the pandemic related budget cuts. To the delight of her fans, she appeared in AEW in August.

After that, Conti received a contract offer from AEW stable Dark Order. In September, it was confirmed that Conti had formally joined AEW.

Tay Conti has nothing but praise for Nikki Cross

The tweet is not the first time Tay praised Nikki. In an interview in May, Conti praised Nikki for being a constant support throughout her career. Conti even called Nikki her best friend in the industry.

“Well, I have a couple of people I will keep in touch with for sure but, like, Nikki has my heart. Nikki is different. Nikki and Raul Mendoza. They are like… I have no words for them. Since day one, Nikki was so helpful and I had, like, my first TV match against her so she’s so special.

Nikki, in turn, described how Conti is a “beautiful person inside and out. She always wants to do her best, working, and training with her was so much fun. I can’t wait to see what she will do in this industry.”

Raul and Nikki are both in WWE now. Nikki is currently pursuing her first Women’s title as she faces Bayley at the upcoming Clash of Champions 2020. We hope the duo of Cross and Conti continue their friendship despite being in rival companies.
