CM Punk is the king of drama. The controversial superstar constantly finds ways to have the spotlight on him. Unfortunately, AEW All In was a dreadful night for Punk, despite retaining his “Real World Title” against Samoa Joe in a hard-hitting contest. The superstar was not only trolled online various times but also got into a physical altercation with a fellow superstar just before his matchup.

AEW did a commendable job of selling out the Wembley Arena in what was their biggest show in history. With so much pressure, superstars had an enormous responsibility to deliver quality action in the ring.

Luckily, the first match featured two old veterans battling it out in front of a ruckus crowd and they did not disappoint. Punk and Joe delivered a highly physical bout, which also led to Punk bleeding during the match. But in the end, it was the ‘Straight Edge’ superstar who got the victory after delivering his old finisher, the Pepsi Plunge, to put away Joe.

Regardless of the trolling, Punk took the moment to post a heartwarming Instagram Story, to thank all the fans who made it to the show, flying from different countries. He also thanked them for supporting him throughout his career.

This was undoubtedly a sweet gesture from Punk, despite getting mocked and ridiculed online for his match and getting massive backlash for his backstage altercation with a superstar 18 years younger than him.

Punk had a horrible night at All In despite his win

The 44-year-old had a confrontation with fellow AEW wrestler, Jack Perry. The two reportedly clashed right before Punk went through the curtain for his match. Since Perry wrestled on the Zero Hour against Hook for the FTW Title and Punk’s match was at the beginning of the main show, there’s every chance of them stumbling upon each other.

Fans also trolled The ‘Best in the World’ for getting into the backstage drama and not showing maturity. Besides his off-ring fiasco, he received flak for his state in the ring as well.

Social media users mocked him for not being able to close AEW’s biggest show despite being the biggest name on the card. The trolling extended so much that even during the spot where Punk bled, fans didn’t sympathize with him and constantly targeted him throughout the match.

But Punk, being an experienced campaigner, has seen it all in his life. The superstar kept aside his emotions and pulled out a class act to thank all the fans and appreciated them thoroughly. What do you think about Punk’s noble gesture, just hours after the online hatred and the confrontation with Perry?
