Not everything that sits right with fans is considered good among critics. When a WCW legend was recently talking about Jon Moxley, he criticized the wrestler as well as his fans. The reason for criticism arises from Moxley’s in-ring performance. Although Jim Cornette doesn’t work for AEW, as a senior in the wrestling industry, it bugs him that fans appreciate Moxley’s work.

There are no reports of personal disputes between the two personalities. So, we can assume that the reasons are mostly professional. After calling out the wrestler for his antics inside the ring, Cornette also criticized his fans.

What did the former WCW personality say about Moxley?

Jim Cornette was talking on the latest episode of ‘Jim Cornette Experience’ with Brian Last. He began by criticizing Moxley for his antics inside the ring, which may come out as unacceptable and often offended the legend. Moxley had turned heads recently at an NJPW match where his head was stabbed with chopsticks. After calling him an ‘idiot’ for such antics, Cornette went on to criticize his fans for appreciating his work inside the ring.

Brian started by saying, “His work is bad! Anyone who tells me Jon Moxley is doing good work in the ring isn’t watching. They’re not paying attention.” After listening, Cornette added his own two cents.

Cornette said, “For people to like that personality, indicates there’s something wrong there as well. What about this personality is appealing? It’s like hearing Darth Vader’s voice coming out of f*cking Pee Wee Herman’s face; just doesn’t fit.”

It’s clear that Cornette doesn’t care for Moxley’s in-ring performance or his persona. And after calling out the wrestler, he also lashed out at Moxley’s fans.

However, Cornette is not alone in his dislike for Moxley’s antics. A lot of wrestling fans and critics also find them to be in poor taste. This public sentiment became clear when fans made fun of him after AEW came out with a new list of banned moves a few days ago.

Moxley might not like Tony Khan’s list of banned moves

AEW is a relatively new wrestling promotion. In fact, the company hadn’t completed all the tasks that they needed to do up until now. By this, we are referring to the fact that Tony Khan only recently came up with a regulatory action to ban a long list of moves to ensure the safety of the wrestlers and the audience alike. While the list was still under discussion among wrestling fans, a few of them even made sarcastic remarks about some AEW wrestlers.

These fans took a shot at Moxley in their comments when they said that he might not be happy with this ‘banned’ list. This was a remark to the AEW star’s ‘edgy’ stunts inside the arena that have now been banned.
