It’s no secret that the AEW head did not take losing the war well, as evidenced by his outbursts on social media. With this recent announcement, let’s hope that AEW finally scores a win against the veteran promotion.

The Friday Night War is back with SmackDown and Collison facing off on November 17

November 17, 2023, will see WWE SmackDown and AEW Collision colliding with each other, thanks to being scheduled at the same time slot.

The two shows will air from 8 to 10 p.m., although AEW will have their audiences for some more time with AEW Rampage occupying the 10 to 11 p.m. slot.

While it has been on the card since August this year, now the traditional ratings and viewership war between two of the world-famous sports juggernauts has been made official as per the latest report.

It will be thrilling to see if Khan bounces back from his last beatdown or not.

Now, let’s have a deeper flashback of how the Tuesday tug-of-war went for both promotions.

The aftermath of a shattering Tuesday Night War for Tony Khan

Long before Collision moved to Friday from Saturday, AEW shifted its flagship show, Dynamite, to Tuesday from Wednesday to jump on a direct battle with the yellow brand.

However, it went totally wrong for Khan with AEW Dynamite gaining 609,000 total viewers with WWE receiving 921,000. Thanks to the loaded NXT card including John Cena, The Undertaker, Rhea Ripley, and Cody Rhodes.

However, Khan still found a way to vent his frustration to his rivals.

He bashed John Cena, The Undertaker for not being able to draw 1 million viewers with their huge star power.

He also took a dig at Vince McMahon to channel his rage.

However, days after this, Khan stabbed his own stance by signing Ric Flair for the promotion. This seemingly hypocrite move garnered him a lot of brickbats from the WWE faithful.

Now, it’s yet to be seen how the upcoming rating war plays out for Khan on November 17.
