WWE had seen a Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose rivalry long before the two stalwarts locked horns in AEW. This rivalry had a certain heartbreaking moment which everyone thought was long forgotten. However, a WWE fan reminded Jericho of that heartbreaking moment to rub him the wrong way.

Their latest rivalry in AEW for the world title has a storied history from their time in WWE. Back then, Moxley was known as Dean Ambrose.

Rolling the years back to 2016, Dean Ambrose won the Intercontinental Championship. A few months later, he was the last man eliminated by Triple H to win the Royal Rumble.

The WWE universe felt his career graph was on the rise when he received a title shot at Triple H’s WWE Championship at Roadblock. Unsurprisingly, it was the same old story as Triple H went over and retained his title.

He then went on to feud with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. The lunatic fringe failed to beat the Beast in a no holds barred street fight at the Showcase of the immortals.

Jericho was the first-ever AEW world champion after defeating Adam Page. On the other hand, Jon Moxley burst on to the title scene when Le Champion asked him to join the Inner Circle.

Moxley pranked The Demo God by accepting the proposal and then attacking him. At Revolution, Moxley defeated Jericho to become the AEW world champion.

Currently, Chris Jericho is in a feud with Orange Cassidy.

As for Moxley, he was absent from AEW tapings for some time as he had come in contact with a COVID-19 positive person. His wife Renee young had also tested positive for the virus.

Moxley is now back and in a feud with Brian Cage who wants his AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
