Yeah, yeah, yeah – It’s Thursday, you know what it means. Boxing Day evening wasn’t a great one for the entire professional wrestling world as we lost a true gem of a person, wrestler, and family-man – Mr. Brodie Lee.

Ever since the news came out, the entire wrestling world has been mourning Brodie’s loss from the bottom of their hearts. AEW celebrated Brodie Lee’s life this week on Dynamite with his son and wife in attendance.

This week’s AEW Dynamite was a special one as it was the celebration of Brodie Lee’s life. The former Luke Harper touched countless lives across the business and outside it.

On their part, All Elite Wrestling did everything in their power to put on a memorable Tribute show for Jon Huber aka Brodie. AEW put out a special match card on what was one of the most emotional nights for everyone on the roster.

Every single person of the AEW roster paid their tributes to ‘The Exalted One’ in one way or another. However, it was the end of the show that really made it difficult to hold back tears.

After winning the six-man tag team main event, Cody Rhodes quoted a Samuel Jackson quote and called out Brodie Lee Jr. and Amanda Huber, Brodie Lee’s wife, to the ring.

AEW President Tony Khan announced that the TNT Championship will forever be with Brodie Lee Jr. Subsequently, he handed over the title to him as Cody helped Brodie Lee Jr. hold it up his sleeve.

Tony Schiavone confirmed on the post show that the current TNT Championship is retired in Brodie Lee’s memory; a new title will debut in the coming weeks.

Brodie Lee Jr. signs a real AEW contract

Tony Schiavone also revealed on the latest edition of the What Happened When Podcast that AEW has officially signed Brodie Lee Jr. to a contract and he will join the company once he comes of age.

The veteran color commentator also revealed how Brodie Lee’s family is their family now. Additionally, he that revealed Brodie Lee Jr. is at the tapings full time. He hangs around with other wrestlers and sometimes even sits in gorilla position!

We can’t wait for Brodie’s big boy to step in the squared circle and complete the legacy of his father Brodie Lee aka Luke Harper/Big Rig.
