In recent months, AEW has made three important signings: Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and the most talked-about of all, Mercedes Mone. Since then, each of them has been slowly getting involved in AEW’s programming. However, Mone has not made a significant impact so far.

She hasn’t been a part of many matches yet, and this has surely faded the hype she built as she makes her in-ring debut in AEW Double or Nothing. But could there be another reason behind it as well? Well, there might be according to WWE and WCW legend Kevin Nash.

During the AEW Big Business celebration last March, Mercedes Moné made her first appearance at AEW and confirmed that she had signed a multi-year contract with the company. Since then, Mone has been appearing occasionally on the schedule but has had very few matches. And while that may be an issue, according to Kevin Nash, Mone’s choice of outfits in AEW is also causing a disconnect with fans from her previous gimmick. According to the WCW legend, the former Sasha Banks “didn’t age well.” In fact, he went as far as saying, “Her f**kin outfit is bush”. Well, the main point of his criticism was toward Mone’s outfit being constantly changed into different colors and designs, oftentimes making Nash feel like he was the one who made it. He found some of the designs to be bizarre.

Admittedly, Mercedes Mone’s initial impact has only deteriorated with time. The fact that she won’t be able to fight until May is making things worse. As reported by Fightful, at the time of signing Mercedes Mone, AEW was fully aware that Mone could not wrestle again until May. The reason for this delay could be because she is still recovering from her injury. And not just Nash, but Eric Bischoff too isn’t a big fan of the CEO.

Another WCW veteran, Eric Bischoff, too didn’t like the way Mercedes Mone’s arrival has transpired in AEW. Not at all. And he has launched harsh criticisms toward the CEO. Not only because she hasn’t wrestled much since she first appeared in the company but also because TV ratings haven’t improved with her much-hyped appearance.

In addition, the notable wrestling figure has been highly critical of something that fans have pointed out a lot on social media. And which Bischoff believes has done The CEO a lot of harm. But What is that? Well, Bischoff and several fans believe that Mone isn’t the best when it comes to speaking into the microphone. So Bischoff believes this is negatively impacting her value to the company. As well as the value of her character. What do you think? Are Nash and Bischoff right? Let us know in the comments.
