AEW President Tony Khan is receiving flak from all corners of the pro wrestling world right now. While the competition from WWE is peaking every day, AEW is unable to keep up with the increasing gap between the two wrestling companies. While the damage was limited to AEW’s regular shows, it has now extended to main shows as well.

The damage is especially bad when it comes to the base of everything pro wrestling, the AEW Superstars. Apparently, Tony Khan shared a new update, stating that he will be replacing a special match with another one. But, while he said that the reason behind the change was because a wrestler was unavailable, the mentioned wrestler has now called TK out.

Tony Khan recently announced a new AEW All-Star Scramble match on X. The match will feature Chris Jericho, Hook, and Brian Cage among others. While the addition of Jericho has angered many AEW fans, Khan’s explanation says that he didn’t even have a lot of options to choose from. Khan said that his superstars Miro and Keith Lee are currently unavailable from the AEW locker room.

He noted that he had great plans with them for a ‘Meat Madness’ match. However, Miro, formerly known as the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ Rusev in WWE, tweeted in response to Khan. According to him, “I’ve been injured since September and I got medical attention in January. Sorry, he wasn’t aware of it.” This message has had the pro wrestling world talking, and even embarrassed Tony Khan.

The AEW President ended up deleting his tweet from X after Miro’s response. This lapse of basic knowledge regarding one of his top employees reflects very badly on the image of Tony Khan. Especially when it has been almost six months since Miro’s absence.

The alleged inner workings of AEW

Pro wrestling expert and journalist Bryan Alvarez recently pulled the curtain on the failures of Tony Khan. He noted that nothing is really planned and the AEW superstars find out what they will be doing on the day of their performances. This leads to several problems, with many wrestlers outright refusing to do what they are asked.

Denying the demands of the already failing creative division isn’t met with much criticism, and Tony Khan simply looks for whoever is available. The problem of injuries, like in the case of Miro, further complicates things. Due to this, the AEW is forced to wing several last-minute decisions before its fans. What are your thoughts on this? Let them flow in the comments.
