During the media scrum, a reporter asked Khan if the rumors of CM Punk owning a stake in AEW are true. To this Tony Khan immediately responded saying that it’s all just a colloquialism.

Khan also mentioned that CM Punk has an interest in the company, but for now, the news of his ownership in the company is nothing more than a rumor.

Talking about CM Punk, Tony Khan said, “That’s just a colloquialism. I own the business…… His return is helping us and helped launch AEW Collision with a great rating. And, he drives interest in our TV shows, pay-per-views, and merchandise. He’s a huge star for us. He’s definitely interested in the bottom line being strong and he wants the company to do well. That’s a colloquialism though.”
