Matt Hardy Teases Ladder Match Return Days Before WrestleMania XL Tag Team Title Match

Jeff and Matt Hardy have spent several years in All Elite Wrestling, but their current contractual status remains shrouded in mystery. The Charismatic Enigma, technically, is currently out due to injury: Sammy Guevara, landing badly on his face during a match has in fact fractured his nose, forcing him to a period of stop.
Matt Hardy’s contract, on the other hand, expired at the beginning of March and little or nothing is known about its possible renewal. However, ever since Matt Hardy was seen in the audience of one of the latest episodes of Monday Night RAW, there have been rumors of a possible Mania return for Team Xtreme. And after dropping a hint at it a few days ago, the Broken One has given another possible tease at it.

Just last week Matt Hardy gave fans a throwback post featuring his promo from his feud with his brother. A feud that led to a fight at WrestleMania. And the fans went wild as there’s already a lot of buzz on the return of the Hardy Boyz. So the elder Hardy has decided to just drop another bombshell. What is it? Taking to his Instagram, Matt Hardy has shared another clip from his early run in the WWE. But it wasn’t just any ladder match, but the Money in the Bank match from WrestleMania 22. Captioning the post, “18 years ago today, says the ‘net..”, the Broken One shared two WrestleMania posts already!

Matt Hardy already made a lot of noise by appearing in the audience on an episode of RW along with his wife Reby, despite still being signed to AEW. It is worth noting that this particular edition of RAW took place at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, Matt Hardy’s home state. So while Hardy has tried to label the visit as one for leisure, his recent statement in the interview says otherwise.

WrestleMania 33 was airing when The Hardys surprised everyone by making their shocking return to WWE to win the Raw Tag Team Championship after many years away from the company. The company where they reached the pinnacle of professional wrestling. Could there be a similar moment at WrestleMania 40? Well, according to the Broken One’s latest statements on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, “Never say never.”
When asked about a WrestleMania return, Hardy said that he finds it great that people think that he and his brother can still pull off a ladder match. He said, “It’s great that people think that (Jeff and I could make another surprise appearance at WrestleMania). That makes me happy it makes people excited. If you hear someone talk about a ladder match, ‘Are they gonna show up?’ And that’s great. So I don’t know. It’s pro wrestling and in pro wrestling, never say never.”
