When he took a break from the WWE, he ran away with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt after winning it at Money in the Bank in 2011. Despite getting a new title for John Cena, Punk returned with the belt for a match at SummerSlam the same year. This is something he repeated in AEW. After winning the AEW World Championship title, Punk was terminated from the company. He was stripped of the title but not on a show, which means he kept the belt.
