In the coming days, Mercedes Mone FKA Sasha Banks will possibly make her return to the ring by joining AEW. Despite the fact that this will tie her to the company for quite some time, Mone seems to be clear that her ultimate goal is still to return to WWE as she admitted in a podcast a few days ago.

And now, it seems like the former WWE star has reflected on her past before her big AEW debut. Being a fan of cryptic messages, the Boss recently shared a video on social media that reflects her mind. What video? Let’s find out, shall we?

Taking to her Instagram story, Mercedes Mone shared a video of Miley Cyrus’ new song titled ‘Used to be Young’. In the caption of Miley’s original video, she described that the song is about ” honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are & celebrating who we will become.” It also carried the thought that the singer is reflecting on her past and is joyful when thinking about the future. This is something that Mone could completely relate to as she could make her much-anticipated debut in AEW Big Business.

Before reports confirmed that she had signed a contract with AEW, Mercedes Mone had engaged in talks with WWE over a return. However, it seems that the financial offer from AEW was considerably higher, which led her to postpone her return to WWE. But During her appearance on the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast, Mercedes Mone was asked about the possibility of returning to WWE. Mone said he still has a lot of unfinished business and hopes to eventually return to the company to resolve them. After all, her exit from the WWE was abrupt, to say the least, and something very difficult as admitted by the Boss.

The Boss opens up on her exit

Mone is ready to make a comeback in the wrestling world after a long time away from the ring due to an unfortunate ankle injury. However, before she’s ready to embark on the next chapter of her career, The Boss has opened up about her ghosts from the past, namely her controversial exit from WWE. Mone left WWE in May 2022 alongside Naomi. It’s been two years since the incident and everyone has their own theories about her exit. But it was during the Boss’ recent appearance on the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast that she finally addressed the situation.

She said, “Something inside of me told me that I needed to go do this and stand up for myself. It was a very hard decision because wrestling in WWE has been my whole life. People don’t know, it’s been my whole life. It’s the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my whole life, but it’s the proudest.” Mone further added, “It’s crazy, because I would not be sitting here, living the best version of my life and getting to be everything I’ve ever dreamt of, and more. It makes me so excited because that moment changed my whole life for the better. I’m so thankful for that moment. I’m so proud of myself.”

Well, she surely is the Boss. As proven by her decision to stand up for herself and quit a job while being at the very top.
