WWE Hall of Famer Triple H is responsible for bringing up some of the top WWE Superstars today. He has been instrumental in WWE’s NXT brand. This is where the newest and freshest faces in the company make their mark and learn the business. However, current AEW star Swerve Strickland thinks Triple H missed out on his talent when he worked for WWE.

Strickland worked in WWE as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and was part of the tag team Hit Row. Moreover, the future for the tag team looked dazzling in NXT. So much so that they were even called up to the main roster on SmackDown. However, suddenly, one by one, WWE released all the members of Hit Row from the company.

Swerve recently appeared on the “Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast” where he spoke about how Triple H couldn’t see his true potential as a wrestler.

Strickland said, “I feel like he liked me, and he respects my talent and my ability. But I don’t feel like he ever truly bought in and invested until I made him have to with Hit Row. He’s one of those guys like, he has those talents on the show that he knows and he’s well-acquainted with and it’s hard for him to deviate from those guys. When he’s set on someone, he’s set on them. Anybody who says that he doesn’t, like, I wouldn’t call it picking favorites, but if somebody says he doesn’t have his core guys, you’re one of the core guys. You know what I mean?” [H/T RingsideNews]

WWE’s competitor AEW has now signed Strickland.

Swerve further went on to say that Triple H might have missed great opportunities with more WWE Superstars. Moreover, he feels Triple H gets fixated on some people he believes are stars. This can lead to not recognizing others’ potential.

“But there’s a lot of like, to this day I feel like he missed out on Matt Riddle being a world champion because he was focused on core guys. I feel like there was times he missed out on a Bianca Belair because he was focused on his core girls.” [H/T RingsideNews]
