After Sasha Banks left WWE in 2022, the wrestler started a career in NJPW under the name Mercedes Mone, leading to constant speculation about her possible union with All Elite Wrestling in the future. A few weeks ago, Tony Khan announced the Big Business event, where Mone’s debut in the company finally took place yesterday.

It was a moment that fans had been longing for. And one that even Mone was looking forward to. And now that the grand appearance has come to fruition, she is all in for the pro wrestling formalities. Such as getting her first photoshoot done as an All-Elite superstar!

In a recent post on X, fans can get to see the Boss looking like the all-powerful being that she is as she wears her signature fashion for an All-Elite photoshoot. No wonder that even the uploader captioned it, “Mercedes is a f’n star.” And it wasn’t just in the shoot, as she also looked glamorous in her first appearance for All Elite Wrestling.

During her first appearance on AEW, Mercedes Mone took the microphone to affirm that she was home and thank the fans who supported her during the difficult moments of her career, promising to create many memorable moments together. The former WWE star admitted the importance of wrestling in her life, and how it gave her hope and the opportunity to dream, mentioning Eddie Guerrero as one of her chief inspirations.

In her return promo, Mone further recalled her history in wrestling, from dropping out of school as a child to take care of her younger brother to revolutionizing the women’s division and reaching the main event of a PPV. Finally, she expressed her love for being in AEW and her belief that it is the place where she can carry out a true revolution, challenging Willow Nightingale to settle her unfinished business. Fans surely believe she can bring a revolution, considering her experience and impressive resume.

After two years on the independent circuit, Mercedes Varnado signed a contract with WWE at the end of 2012. Under the name Sasha Banks, the wrestler won five RAW women’s titles and three tag team titles, besides being the third WWE Grand Slam champion (adding RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and tag team titles).

In 2023, after a scandalous exit that took place in May of the previous year, the world rediscovered her as Mercedes Mone during her surprise appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 17. The professional wrestler began a brief stint around New Japan Pro-Wrestling and World Wonder Ring STARDOM, winning the IWGP Women’s Championship in the process and competing for the all-new NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.

Unfortunately, an injury to her ankle halted any projects that were in the pipeline for a bright future. The Boss stepped away from the ring for nearly a year, making a single appearance in front of the cameras while watching AEW All In London in the guest box at Wembley Stadium. It was there that the rumors between Mercedes Mone and All Elite Wrestling began. And now she is All Elite and looking to bring a revolution to the women’s division.
