Weeks after his departure from the promotion, fans wondered what lay ahead for The R Rated Superstar. The superstar in question answered all these queries when he made his debut at AEW Wrestle Dream.

The 49-year-old star has left the internet buzzing with his out-of-the-blue debut at AEW. However, Tony Khan has revealed one more interesting aspect of his debut. By referring to the graphics posted by Khan on his X (former Twitter) account, fans realized that Edge would be going by a more grounded name this time. He will be referred to by his birth name, Adam Copeland and not Edge. However, it feels like the Jacksonville-based promotion will still use the star’s nickname, The R-Rated Superstar.

This might be due to the fact that the nickname is something he has earned over the years and fans know him by that. It’s time for fans to see the real Adam Copeland in the ring and not Edge. This is something similar to the lines of Cody Rhodes who tried to reinvent himself after years of making appearances under the ring name Star Dust. Even though Copeland had a successful run as Edge, there might be a possibility that he wants the audience to know him by his actual name.

Copeland made his debut at AEW Wrestle Dream last night. This happened when Darby Allin was attacked by Christian Cage and Nick Wayne, a former friend turned foe of Allin. Even though Sting tried to help Allin, it was of no use, until Copeland came in to save the day. Things ended with Cage and Copeland looking each other in the eye. With Cage being a former ally of the star, AEW have set the tone for the former friends to go off against each other.
