WATCH: AEW’s Swerve Strickland Uploads Gory and Painful Aftermath of His Texas Death Match at Full Gear 2023

AEW Full Gear delivered an action-packed night to the fans. Wrestlers engaged in brutal matches and left the arena with scars all over their bodies. The most extreme match of the night was the Texas Death Match, which saw Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page in opposite corners.

Lots of blood was spilled as the two opponents endured far more pain than humanly possible and tortured each other during the match. Strickland recently released footage on social media revealing how much pain he had to endure because of his gruesome match at Full Gear.

After the match, Strickland went to his Instagram account and shared a gory video of the match’s aftermath. In the video, you can see his chest covered in staples and blood oozing out of different areas of his body. Medics pulled every staple embedded in his body one by one.

Unlike a normal human being, Strickland appeared to be unbothered by the pain during the staple removal process. Even in all his pain, he was enjoying himself and that might be because of his marvelous victory over his opponent, Adam Page.

The two men had all the torture devices at their disposal to punish their opponents during the event. From barbed wire to glass to staples, they left nothing unused to inflict pain on each other. They painted the mat red during the match, with blood spilling out of both men’s bodies.

Both men gave all their strength to win, but Strickland was the one who came out victorious from the bout. It was Brian Cage and Prince Nana‘s interference that played a huge role in Strickland’s victory. Seizing the opportunity presented by the interference, Strickland delivered a forceful blow to the back of Page’s head using a cinder block.

He then proceeded to effectively incapacitate his opponent by suspending him over the ring post with a steel chain. This victory was similar to that in October. During the WrestleDream event, Strickland, in a similar fashion, emerged victorious over Page with the assistance of Prince Nana.
