To make a wrestling roster popular, it needs a lot of hard work and an inherent sense of understanding of the sport. And who can better comprehend these than experienced wrestlers themselves?

That is why well-known wrestling rosters like WWE hire former wrestlers to work as the higher authority or in a superior position. This brings us to one recent addition in WWE of a former wrestler, William Regal. We also know him as a close friend of Triple H.

Regal was closely associated with WWE for over 20 years, which includes his period as a wrestler as well as an authority member.

The current news that’s floating in gives rise to many speculations. However, as per the latest report, Regals’s return to WWE is quite sure. Further, there are chances of him holding a higher position in the roster.

Return of a WWE Star

According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the former King of the Ring will be returning to his kingdom.

One can also say that his old mate Triple H is bringing back the gem to the roster. Further, the report also states that Regal might be given the position of Vice President upon his first week of arrival.

William Regal’s relationship with WWE goes a long way back. He has worked in several positions here. Starting from being a performer, he has also served as Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting.

While doing so he also portrayed an on-screen NXT general manager. However, his career with WWE came to an end in early 2022. Soon after which he shook hands with AEW. 

Whatever the reason for his departure from WWE was, the roster and especially his NXT companion missed him a lot. That’s the reason his companion and chief content officer of WWE brought him back.

The old bond of Triple H and William Regal

The followers of WWE would know the relationship that the wrestling legends share. One such example would be the companionship of Triple H and William Regal.

Even as per Regal, their bond is so strong that they can even read each other’s minds. They did not require daily conversations, but that’s how they worked for ages.

The respect they had for each other was also reflected in their work. As we know, one of the renowned brands of WWE is the product of their hard work. Both of them together built the NXT brand of WWE.

Further, they brought some best talents all around the work. In one way, you can say that the current superstars are the products of these legendary wrestling veterans.
