Mercedes Mone surprised wrestling fans when she debuted in AEW amidst her WWE return rumors. Despite the workplace she chose in the end, her past in the Stamford-based company can’t be erased. Due to this, fans spotted an unexpected appearance from Sasha Banks, back from when she was a part of the leading wrestling promotion.

The former IWGP Champion showed up on the screens of fans watching the PLE from the comfort of their homes. The video package before the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Undisputed Women’s Champion showed a brief introduction to each of the contestants. When Naomi was shown on screen, her story had a glimpse of her former tag partner, Sasha Banks.

Although the package didn’t pay any homage to their partnership or thank Sasha Banks for her time in WWE, it was a sight for sore eyes for fans who miss seeing her in WWE.
