On the episode of RAW on October 16th, Adam Pearce announced that Rhea Ripley will defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Raquel Rodriguez. General Manager Pearce had to announce as he could not control the brawl between the superstars. All of them wanted a championship opportunity against Rhea Ripley at Crown Jewel.

Ripley’s struggle to defend her title amidst a tough competition was the highlight of the match. But a moment of brilliance from former NXT Champion Shayna Baszler stole some limelight as well.

Shayna Baszler pulls off an improbable submission move

A wrestling fan posted a clip of a match from Crown Jewel 2023 PLE on X on November 4th. The clip featured former NXT Champion Shayna Baszler delivering submissions to three different performers at the same time. The caption for the tweet read, “Unprecedented triple submission from Shayna Bazzler.”

The clip is from the match between Rhea Ripley (C), Nia Jax, Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shayna Baszler in a Fatal-5-way match at Crown Jewel. The rules of the match include that the first person with pin-fall or submission wins the match. Hence, Rhea Ripley had a 20% chance to successfully defend her title.

During the title match at Crown Jewel, a battle ensued between the five superstars from RAW. During the match, the Queen of Spades Shayna Baszler pulled off a unique spot to create a memorable moment for herself. She pulled off a submission move on three superstars at once starting with a half Boston crab on Raquel Rodriguez.

She followed it up with another half Boston Crab on Rhea Ripley who was locked on her right side. Soon, Nia Jax joined in for a Coquina Clutch. But the hold was broken by a kick from Zoey Stark as it was a Fatal-5-way match.

After a win at Crown Jewel, who is next for Rhea Ripley?

The match kept going due to the break on Shayna Baszler’s submission but it gave more opportunity to Ripley. Eventually, she pulled off a victory after delivering a Riptide to Zoey Stark on the body of Shayna Baszler. She went to pin Baszler to retain her title.

The question lies, who will face Ripley now? She has slayed down four strong superstars from RAW at Crown Jewel while she has already feuded against Raquel Rodriguez multiple times. One probable option is Becky Lynch who is free from her NXT duties. Another option could be former AEW superstar Jade Cargill.
