It’s been almost five years since John Cena and Nikki Bella broke up. They were one of the power couples of WWE and also in the reality Total Divas.

However, years before separating, the 16-time world champion confessed a major thing to Bella, that left the WWE Hall of Famer in a state of shock. The former 2-times Divas Champion wasn’t thinking she could ever have to face this situation.

In one of the 2014 episodes of Total Divas, Nikki Bella sensed John Cena was seeing another woman. This was surprising for her, as they were at a great place in their relationship and taking the next step slowly. 

As per the Total Divas recap article of EOnline, “After heading to the rooftop to enjoy the sunset, John’s phone rings and he immediately gets up to take the call in another room. Nikki is surprised because John has never done that before. When he returns, John explains that it was a business call. But Nikki isn’t so convinced…”

This was a strange behavior from ‘The Cenation Leader’ that made Bella very worried. She called her sister Brie Bella to talk about it. Cena even went to the gym alone in that episode and said to Bella to stay at home. 

She asked Brie whether it was a great idea to check up on him at the gym. However, her twin sister advised her not to, as it would break his trust.

Nikki shared another plan with her sister about picking her up for a coffee and both visited the gym to see what Cena is up to.

In the episode, Cena was having a conversation with a woman who was business related. However, whenever she called, Cena would go to another room, which made Nikki suspicious.

The girl’s name was Sarah, an escrow agent and he was talking to her to buy Nikki Bella her dream house. This is the same condo that Bella is trying to sell in the episode, but is also her favorite.

Indeed, this was a heroic move by Cena for his then-girlfriend. He then asks her to move in with him in California. They shared a lovely kiss and Bella was over the moon by this gesture.

John Cena literally kept the secret from Bella until the time she suspected something fishy. But in reality the former Divas Champion got a big surprise from her boyfriend.
