In the past few weeks, the WWE Universe has witnessed the crumbling of a dominant faction, as Roman Reigns’ Bloodline has undergone an implosion. On the heels of the dramatic collapse, another stable looks to be suffering the same fate. At Money In The Bank, fans saw cracks in The Judgement Day.

It played out in public hours after one member had his arms wrapped around the coveted briefcase.

Seth Rollins clashed with arch-rival Finn Balor at The O2 Arena in a title defense match. The Judgement Day de facto leader was looking for retribution, as Rollins had forced him to sit out following their Universal title match at SummerSlam 2016.

Balor, however, wasn’t the only Judgement Day member to have a bout at the said PLE. Before him, two other members- Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio- had their matches. While Mysterio lost to Cody Rhodes, Priest, who was among the seven wrestlers to compete in the ladder match, won the briefcase.

He was at ringside during Balor’s match and at one point threatened to intervene. This distracted the Judgement Day leader as he lost his advantage to hand back the momentum to Rollins. The Visionary used his Curb Stomp to pin and pick up the win and retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Shortly after there was a fiery exchange between the two Judgement Day members. Is the gap going to widen now? The future will reveal.

What does the loss mean for Finn Balor?

After Edge’s ouster from The Judgement Day, Balor has been the heel faction’s de facto leader. But a leader without a win is bound to face questions from its followers. Balor is also likely to undergo a similar challenge.

He lost his match against Edge at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year. Now his planned retribution for Seth Rollins hasn’t materialized, albeit distractions from Priest.

On the other hand, Judgement Day member Rhea Ripley has been on a roll, crushing opponents at will. While Dominik Mysterio hasn’t tasted much success, he’s still learning. That leaves us with two more members- Balor and Priest.

The Puerto Rican is the proud owner of the briefcase and can cash-in any time. With a recent win under his belt, he will be breathing a sign of relief. But that cannot be said about Balor. With back-to-back losses at PLEs, his reputation inside the faction might have taken a dip. Whether Balor suffers the same consequences as Edge, will be revealed by time.
