John Cena has had some memorable moves that he performs in WWE. He has several matches after putting his opponent into an Attitude Adjustment and its variations. However, one of the move sets of ‘Super Cena’ once made Joe Rogan realized there are other ways of winning in wrestling as well apart from a pin down. Rogan didn’t seem to be very well versed with wrestling moves.

Surprisingly, the UFC commentator didn’t know several legends have won their matches without pin down as a finish. Rogan praised Cena and then it astounded him after learning this about professional wrestling.

Joe Rogan praises John Cena

The UFC personality once rated several wrestling moves aka submissions. He saw Cena putting his opponent in his iconic STF and it quickly amazed him . He loved the submission of ‘The Cenation Leader’ and claimed this will legitimately hurt.

Rogan said, “Yeah, it might hurt if a big gorilla guy like John Cena got you in that sh*t. But you have to be almost dead for them to able to do all that sh*t. I mean he might be able to do it that to me don’t get me wrong.”

He added, “I wonder how it’s done. John Cena reversed it. Oh, that’s actually real, that real as f**k, that hurts like hell. What he is doing there is f**king that guy’s knee up and cranking up that guy’s neck at the same time.”

Indeed the STF is a painful move and it’s hard for the opponent to get out of it once getting locked. Shockingly, last year UFC fighter Roman Dolidze used a variation of STF in the octagon to beat his opponent Jack Hermansson.

No wonder why Rogan was quick to predict that STF is a deadly submission move. Before rating wrestling moves, sure he would have seen someone performing STF in the octagon to make such claims.

Rogan didn’t know that wrestlers can tap in a match!

Following praising Cena, he saw a WWE star tapping out to Cena. This quickly caught his eye, and he asked, “Oh, you can tap now?”

The 55-year-old thought wrestling only had pin down. He added, “I always thought you get counted out! You pin the guy. Is this a new thing? How long are they tapping people?…….How long have they been tapping out, how did they figure this?”

Clearly, Rogan had ample questions to ask over this. However, it amazed him that wrestlers tapped out in the era of Ric Flair, Jimmy Snuka, and The Iron Sheik. It shocked him, as he didn’t know this basic thing about professional wrestling.
