AEW Manager Explains Her Absence From Collision, Shares Painful Graphic Image While Citing Health Emergency

Injury continues getting in the way of the wrestling star badly. And AEW manager CJ Perry was the latest addition to the sidelines. The 38-year-old was largely expected to make appearances in the recent AEW Collision and the CMLL event but couldn’t show up due to a worsening finger infection.

The star has been making quite a name in AEW as a managerial figure but is likely to remain out of action due to her injury. She elaborated on her unforeseen absence via Twitter.

Perry aka Lana made her debut in the Khan’s promotion earlier this year at the All Out PPV in Chicago to stand up to her husband, Miro. However, currently, she has been sharing a hostile on-screen relationship with Miro and has been backing up Andrade El Idolo instead as her new client.

She was even supposed to manage Idolo in two big events including his Mexican Lucha Libre promotion bout and AEW Continental Classic back to back on December 15th and 16th. But to everyone’s surprise, she missed both the shows and the injury came out to be the ultimate culprit.

Perry shared a horrible picture of her injured finger on her Twitter handle and noted that the infection spread up to her arms. She urged fans to keep her in their prayers while assuring a speedy comeback.

Moving ahead, CJ Perry still idolizes one of the greatest managers in WWE history in his career pursuit despite leaving the promotion two years back.

Perry worked with WWE as Lana for seven years starting in 2013. The 38-year-old kickstarted her career as the on-screen manager of Rusev at NXT. She also competed in several multi-woman matches during her eventful tenure in the promotion.

Finally Perry decided to leave the Stanford-based company behind and joined forces with the Tony Khan-headed promotion earlier this year. But she didn’t stop admiring WWE’s key asset, Paul Heyman.

The Roman Reigns’ special counsel is undoubtedly one of the marque figures in terms of managing generational talents. It seems Everyone wants to get a piece of the mass scientist to elevate their position in the business.

Perry wants the same type of dignity for herself in AEW. She revealed her wish to be the AEW version of Paul Heyman in the future.
