In recent years, Dwayne Johnson hasn’t been the draw he was at the end of the 2010s. Every movie that Johnson put out was a blockbuster hit and there was a continuous flow of Johnson’s action flicks, one after another. From Rampage to Skyscraper to Hobbs and Shaw, the former WWE star showed the world that he was the biggest action star at the time.

But nowadays, the magic of Johnson in Hollywood is fading away. From Jungle Cruise to Black Adam, his movies haven’t made a big impact at the box office. But some may say that streaming is the gold mine of today, but even his Netflix movie didn’t do great numbers. Even then, Johnson and the entire cast are returning for a sequel.

At the Netflix TUDUM event, Gal Gadot, former Miss Universe and Wonder Woman spoke about many of her upcoming movies. One of these, associated with Netflix, was the $200 million budget movie Red Notice. While it did great numbers in the beginning, Red Notice was soon forgotten, just like other streaming exclusive movies that don’t make an impact on the critics.

But Gadot confirmed that there is a sequel coming. About the status of the sequel, she said, “We’re all talking about it. I don’t know if I can say anything! I already read the second script and it’s… whoo! We’re all very excited about it!” With the $30 million net worth actress’ confirmation, and Hiram Garcia’s announcement from last year, Johnson’s Red Notice sequel is cemented as happening.

With the third co-star, Ryan Reynolds shooting his Marvel movie, Deadpool 3, at the moment, Red Notice’s sequel’s shooting will get underway after that. But this isn’t the only streaming movie that Johnson is involved in at the moment.

In one of the most anticipated Christmas movies of this year, Johnson is going to star alongside Chris Evans. The Black Adam and Captain America Christmas movie is going to be in an Amazon exclusive. There are even rumors that this movie’s success could lead Amazon to green-light a series featuring the two actors.

Apart from Evans, the movie also features J. K. Simmons, Bonnie Hunt, and Lucy Liu. The few shots from Red One, have got fans excited for this new movie at the end of this year.
