As an alumnus himself, it seems like Johnson feels indebted to the university for giving him an incredible perspective on life. It appears he really enjoyed his time there and wanted to repay the institute with charity. In 2006, at the premiere of ‘Gridion Gang’ (2006), it was announced that Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia donated $2 Million to the University of Miami.
As a result, the committee renamed the living room at the alumni center to ‘Dany Garcia & Dwayne Johnson Living Room‘.
This isn’t the first time that The Rock’s former university has paid him tribute. Earlier, they renovated another one of their rooms and named it after him.

This donation in 2006 wasn’t the last one. The Rock donated a million dollars to the university somewhere before 2022. This donation was for the university’s football team. Last year, the committee renovated the locker room for the football team to make it look extremely smart. Several fans reacted to The Rock’s throwback post on Instagram. If that acknowledgment wasn’t enough, they renamed yet another room they had after the Hollywood star.
This time, the locker room was renamed to, “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Locker Room”. This tribute warmed The Rock and made him a throwback to this sweet memory.
