After 18 Years Of Stardom, Dwayne Johnson Made A Revelation About The Launch Of His $1.5 Billion Generating Career: “No One Really Knew Who I Was”

Dwayne Johnson, famously called “The Rock” has been dominating Hollywood for years now. DJ has made changing a career look so easy. He has excelled in every field he tried his luck on. He went from a pro wrestler to a Hollywood star who owns multiple successful ventures.

Undoubtedly, his hard work has earned him success and fame in the movie industry. But this was not his initial career choice. Johnson was the superstar of a different arena. He started his career with wrestling, WWE, which was filled with intense actions and superb storylines.

Recently, Johnson made a revelation about his debut on TV and starring in Saturday Night Live.

Dwayne Johnson opens up on his experience hosting a show

Johnson is now the five-time host of SNL and his recent appearance on the show was in 2017. Walking down memory lane, he recalled his experience of the first time making a TV appearance as a host. He said, “so ladies and gentlemen that has been a very, very special edition of Rock reacts I had a blast I hope you guys enjoyed it too .”

He continued, “love going down memory lane and said and I lied again it is that place it is an institution an iconic family to me and you know about 15 years ago Lorne Michaels and Sat Night Live gave me a shot and at that time no one really knew who I was.”

Rock continued, “I was popular in wrestling and maybe I was just I was a popular guy at that time. But who knows maybe I would have fizzled out or not had a career. But those guys took a chance and those guys gave me an opportunity to host when I hosted my first show saturday Night Live almost 15 years ago it opened so many doors”

Rock explained that he wanted to do something experimental and explore a funny side to his character from WWE.

Dwayne Johnson believes appearing on the late-night comedy show gave him an opportunity to explore a different side of himself.

He shared working with the SNL crew was a unique experience from the feuds and fights he had with his WWE rivals.

Johnson expressed his gratitude to Lorne Michaels for providing him with an opportunity on the SNL stage. He also expressed his joy at being on the stage for the fifth time.

Recently, fans are enjoying The Rock’s journey through the show produced by NBC called “Young Rock”.

Season 3 features Johnson’s journey to WrestleMania and finally fulfilling his promise to buy his parents a new home. Johnson is recently enjoying his success as a movie star and a business owner.
