CM Punk was fired from AEW following the backstage altercation at AEW ‘All In’ this year. Following the controversy, Punk disappeared from the wrestling industry. Several of his fans were speculating and counting on WWE to take him back. Even though his return to the promotion relies on several factors, the belief of his return has grown with new hints and rumors every other day.

Following a trail of signs regarding Punk’s WWE return, wrestling fans have dug out yet another hint that points towards his imminent return to the Stamford-based promotion.

Survivor Series 2023 is just around the corner and two of the most awaited wrestlers are rumored to return. One of them is CM Punk. While there is no solid proof to back up the rumors and speculations, the number of teases we have been receiving is pointing toward only one thing.

A user on Twitter recently shared his strange experience while searching for casual information on the internet. When he had searched to confirm the date for the ‘Survivor Series’ this year, he was met with a surprise.

The user even shared a screenshot of what he saw. Apparently, if you search “Survivor Series Date“, the Google search panel will show a picture of CM Punk alongside the date and timings of the PLE. In fact, several comments on the tweet even testified to the claim by uploading their own screenshots.

While this can easily be a result of the vastly spread rumors and speculations regarding his return, it could also turn out to be a true foreshadowing of the upcoming surprise.

These teases regarding the imminent return have been going on for quite a while. After ‘The Best in the World’ himself teased his fans online by using War Pigs, the official theme song on Survivor Series in his Instagram story, WWE UK hopped on the trend as well.

WWE dropped a “Punk” reference recently

WWE’s UK handle took to Twitter to tease their fans. Since Punk’s return is not yet confirmed, we can’t say for sure whether it was a tease or a coincidence. However, considering the current fan sentiment in the wrestling world, we can assume that the promotion probably wanted to give everyone a sneak peek of what is about to come.

So, they took a picture of Sheamus in a ‘punk’ outfit and posted him on Twitter along with the caption, “[Sheamus] in his punk era.” This fired up all the fans who came across the post, forcing them to call out the company for teasing them.
