But WWE fans can never forget his Firefly Fun House encounter at WrestleMania 36. Recently, during his interview with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz 92NY Recanati-Kaplan Talks, Cena made some shocking revelations about this bizarre and critically acclaimed match.

When Cena was questioned about the most rewarding match of his career, Cena said it was Firefly Fun House. Cena’s revelation on the show has caused a stir and is a direct threat to Bray Wyatt’s image in WWE.

During his conversation with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz as part of 92NY Recanati-Kaplan Talks, Cena was asked to recall the match between him and Bray Wyatt.

Cena said, “I did a unique piece of programming called the Firefly Funhouse match, which was a giant exercise in vulnerability. I worked my a** off on that thing, and I thank everyone who was involved because no one does it alone, but it was kind of my brainchild and my creation. You want to talk about looking in the mirror, that was kind of a public look in the mirror.”

The Firefly Funhouse match was a unique experience for all the WWE fans. This match received a lot of critical acclamation for its innovative concept. The success of it was largely attributed to the creative genius of Bray Wyatt.

However, Cena’s comments have changed the look of the entire story and raise questions about Wyatt’s much-talked-about creativity.

WrestleMania 36 was unique

While speaking, Cena candidly revealed, he was closely collaborating with the creative team. He also stated that he worked hard on the elements of the match that captivated the audience. His comment about the match being his idea has sent shockwaves to everyone as it could be damaging to Wyatt’s reputation as a creative genius.

As the world shut down in 2020, WWE came up with Wrestlemania36 with some special twists. It included two pre-taped matches. The matches featured top WWE wrestlers. The Undertaker and AJ Styles competed with each other in a Boneyard match. John Cena and Bray Wyatt wrestled in the Firefly Fun House.

Cena was quite impressed with Wyatt’s work during Covid-19. The 16-time world champion praised his WrestleMania 36 opponent for stepping up and adapting to having no crowds.
