Roman Reigns has been on an incredible run in WWE ever since he returned to the promotion in 2020 and turned heel. His Head of the Table persona has got him over and he has dominated the playing field beating all comers. After Cody Rhodes’ glorious failure to beat Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39, the question remains who will be the guy that finally dethrones him? Well, we may have an answer to that from the man himself and it has the WWE Universe divided.

Reigns has conquered all before him, beating the likes of Brock Lesnar, Edge, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and the list goes on as he held on to his Universal Championship for over 1000 days. Speaking on ESPN’s First Take, The Tribal Chief claimed he doubts anyone can beat him and take the title off him.

During the show Reigns was asked “Is there anybody you think can take this from you? I mean, what if The Rock decides to return and goes up against you? That could be a possibility. Is there anybody that you can foresee taking all of this from you one day?”

The Bloodline chief replied that last year in WWE has all been about taking the title from him but no one has been able to do it and he doubts if anyone could. He said, “I don’t see it. That’s what this last year has been. People coming from all over, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, they come from Hollywood, they come from other sports, Logan Paul. It doesn’t matter anymore. I’m head and shoulders above everyone. It’s not even funny anymore.”

With this statement, he explained his dominance in WWE while taking a sly dig at those who “come from Hollywood” which may be a reference to Cena or his cousin Dwayne The Rock Johnson. His words, however, divided the opinion among WWE fans on Twitter.

“Measuring stick” or “average” WWE fans divided over Reigns’ bold claim

After Reigns’ bold statement went viral, WWE fans came out in droves to have their say on his claim. Some believed he was not telling any lies while others thought he was overrated and believing his own hype.

A fan called Reigns a game changer, something evident by the numbers WWE has been doing both on TV and in live attendances as he reigned supreme at the top. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer even called it the hottest period in WWE since the Attitude Era, given the money WWE is making with Reigns and other names like Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on top.

A fan also said that Reigns was basically untouchable.

But not everyone was singing praises of the champion, one fan even warned him hinting at “someone” who could beat him.

Is Reigns average? One fan certainly thinks so.

Another Twitter user branded him overrated.
