Dwayne Johnson has been undergoing a rough patch in his career. After setting a disappointing score, and collection record with the much-hyped Black Adam, Johnson failed to steer the box office again in Fast X. Last year, Johnson found himself at the receiving end of steroid usage by Joe Rogan as well. Lately, his newest venture, the XFL also suffered a $60 million loss.

However, despite these setbacks, and controversial remarks, Dwayne Johnson has emerged to set a record on the 4th of July, the Independence Day of the United States of America.

Dwayne Johnson started his film career with Mummy Returns, as the Scorpion King. Slowly and steadily, he rose up the ranks and became one of the highest paid actors in the industry. Over the years, he has starred in several successful projects such as Jumanji 2, Journey 2 the Mysterious Island, Moana, and many more.

However, now at 51 years, his career has been spiraling down. None of his latest ventures have been able to leave a mark at the box-office. At his age, fans might want him to pursue a different role than being the almighty on screen.

With the new generation now taking over, will Johnson be able to bounce back and topple them? His next two outings are much awaited by the fans. Red One and the live-action remake of Moana have the fans on the edge of their seats.
