The constant tour of CM Punk from one promotion backstage to another has made headlines in the last week. And as soon as the news about it surfaced, fans were ready to speculate the reason behind it. Even though everyone would have their own theories, a recent report highlights what CM Punk actually do when he was backstage at Impact Wrestling.

Initially, the AEW superstar was spotted in WWE Raw backstage, where at Vince McMahon’s behest, he had to leave. Following this, Punk showed up a few days later at Impact Wrestling’s SlugFest, where Trinity Fatu aka Naomi made her return. There, he clicked pictures with some of the talents. However, he also played a popular game, enjoying himself.

CM Punk was reportedly seen playing a game backstage

As per Fightful Select’s report, Punk was playing the classic card game, UNO, while he was backstage with some of the Impact talents. This also highlights how different and more enjoyable Punk’s Impact visit was, compared to his appearance at WWE.

Adding to that, the two-time AEW World Champion reportedly spoke to dozen of wrestlers in Impact. Not only that, but they exchanged pleasantries as well. And even the Impact wrestlers said “that he was pleasant, in a good mood, and happy to be there,” as per the report.

These insights from CM Punk’s first-time visit to an IMPACT/TNA show in 19+ years must interest all his fans. However, apart from this, another piece of news will also interest his fans.

With multiple appearances of Punk at non-AEW wrestling shows, fans might have speculated about his future endeavors with the promotions. Some of them even trolled the superstar for his visits. Nevertheless, there seems to be a more concrete update on his future according to the report.

Is the AEW superstar planning to work with IMPACT?

The same report by Fightful clarified in a straightforward statement that the AEW superstar isn’t planning to switch promotions or do any work with Impact.

The report said, “There are no plans for Punk to do any kind of work with IMPACT Wrestling, and he’s still slated to lead the AEW Collision brand starting in June.

With this, there should be no confusion in the minds of Punk fans, as they should only look up to June 2023 for their beloved star’s return.
