The news that the Rock could play En Sabah Nur, better known as Apocalypse, comes at a critical time for the actor. After a few box office stumbles and questionable career decisions, such as canceled projects and Black Adam, Johnson seems to be looking for a career renaissance. And what better way to do that than as one of Marvel’s most formidable villains, known for his “fittest survives” philosophy and ruthless ambition to reshape the world in his image? But it seems like comic book and wrestling fans are not huge on the decision.

Dwayne Johnson has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry, not only because of his impressive physique but also because of his charisma and ability to connect with audiences. However, playing a character as complex and dark as Apocalypse could prove to be a challenging task for the Brahma Bull. Moreover, fans are afraid that this might ruin the next edition of the already deteriorating movie series.

In fact, he almost plays himself in every movie he does. “please don’t. He can’t act. He’s the same character and everything he does. Let’s stop lying about it. Range is terrible. Don’t do that. While other users seconded the opinion with their own tweets, “He’ll Black Adam it. Probably force RDJ to make a cameo”. This user took things a step ahead, bringing in Johnson’s political ideology into the mix. “Yeah but we don’t. He will take over, it’ll be horrible and then he’ll blame everyone else. Before telling us to vote trump.”

Playing Apocalypse could offer the Brahma Bull a unique opportunity to demonstrate his versatility as an actor. By bringing to life a villain with such a radical philosophy and power that rivals the MCU’s most powerful characters, Johnson could break away from the conventional heroic roles he’s previously embodied.
