Finn Balor came very close at SummerSlam to finally getting rid of his seven-year itch. But after a hard-fought battle, Judgement Day members got involved. And while the match should have favored Finn Balor due to Judgment Day’s involvement, the outcome of the match went completely contrary to expectations. So far, Rhea Ripley has been pacifying the unruly duo. However, her recent social media activity shows that she is getting tired of the ongoing drama.

It should be noted that the tensions between Priest and Balor started when the former won the Money in the Bank briefcase at the namesake live event. So, up to this point, it’s only Rhea Ripley who is keeping the duo from getting at each other’s throats.

In the latest edition of Raw, Judgment Day interrupted Cody Rhodes’ segment with Seth Rollins. However, the faction made their way to the ring sans Finn Balor. During the promo, at some point, Balor appeared out of nowhere and blindsided Rollins. This led to complete chaos in the ring. While Judgment Day picked apart Rhodes and Seth, Sami Zayn came to their aid and helped fend them off.

Backstage, while Balor was having a conversation with JD McDonagh, Priest interrupted, addressing the fact that they are conspicuously at odds with each other. When Finn Balor crowded Senor MITB, Rhea Ripley wedged in between them and prevented things from going out of control.

Taking to Twitter, Rhea Ripley shared a gif of a man going nuts, alluding to what she feels while trying to be the mediator between Balor and Priest. Judging by the way things have been going, Rhea Ripley probably feels as if she is working with children.

Later, during a backstage segment, McDonagh suggested that Priest get rid of his briefcase, as it is the root cause of the issues between the two. Priest didn’t take very kindly to that and wanted to go after the Irish wrestler before Rhea Ripley, once again, held him back.

Anyway, Rhea Ripley is seemingly walking a precarious tightrope. We will have to wait and see what happens next on Raw as the ongoing conflict between Damien Priest and Finn Balor persists.

What caused the rift between Finn Balor and Damien Priest?

To be fair, JD McDonagh was right. After Damien Priest won the Money in the Bank contract, the briefcase drove a wedge between Balor and Priest. At Money in the Bank, Balor faced off against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

During the closing moments of the match, Priest, who was seated at ringside, got tempted to cash in his contract with Rollins. This distracted Finn Balor, letting his guard down for Seth Rollins to capitalize.

Balor was conspicuously teed off by Priest’s involvement. Moreover, their relationship continued to strain in the lead-up to SummerSlam.
