CM Punk Breaks Silence on His Rumored WWE Return at Survivor Series in Chicago: “I Think Tickets Are Hard to Get”

With AEW releasing CM Punk in August, the wrestling world is buzzing with one question. Where will he go next? There is no doubt that he is an incredible wrestler. So other wrestling promotions will surely approach him. 

Given his history with WWE, his future in the promotion is uncertain. So far, he had been silent about his return to WWE until now. Recently, he caved in to the discussion and commented on his return to the promotion. Let’s have a look at what he had to say about his WWE return.

The Survivor Series PLE is just a month away. It will take place in Chicago (Punk’s Hometown). This has led the fans to wonder if he might make an appearance in the upcoming WWE event scheduled for November 25. Regarding this matter, he recently spoke to 670 The Score in Chicago in an interview.

He said jokingly, “They’re asking if I’m going to be there? I think it’s sold out. I think tickets are hard to get.” Then turning serious, he added, “I don’t want to burst anybody’s bubble. I’m kind of just sitting at home and enjoying this beautiful Chicago weather.”

Using multiple excuses, Punk denied his presence at Survivor Series. He also stated that his dog is injured, and he is currently taking care of him. He also said that he has canceled his plans so that he can tend to his dog, as traveling wouldn’t allow him to do that.

This may have been a no from Punk’s side. But there is still a minute chance that he might be there. Let’s find out why.

Is there actually hope for Punk’s return?

Though ‘The Second City Saint’ has said otherwise, fans are still hopeful that he might actually surprise the WWE Universe in Chicago. This is because Dave Meltzer recently released a significant statement regarding Punk’s return to the Stamford-based promotion.

During an interview with the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer recently hinted at a possible WWE comeback for PunkHe clarified that people close to ‘The Straight-Edge Superstar’ have told him that the former AEW star has intentions of returning to his old promotion.

Meanwhile, he also elucidated that no such deal had been finalized, but the two parties were in talks regarding this matter. If this information is coming from Meltzer, it means it is 100% reliable. This doubles fans’ hope and excitement for Punk’s return. Some believe he may surprise the WWE Universe after all.
