CM Punk is one of the most popular and well-versed wrestlers in the industry. By accruing experience for more than 20 years, Punk has dominated in every promotion he has wrestled throughout his career.

However, recently, nostalgia hit Punk, when he found a potential challenger in his rival from around 19 years ago. With a career spanning more than two decades, Punk has made rivals from different promotions, and they are coming to haunt him now.

Both CM Punk and Samoa Joe began their career in the Indies. Both these exceptionally good wrestlers started from the bottom, and are now at the top. Recently, during the latest episode of AEW Collision, fans saw Joe defeat Andrew Everett, and call out Punk for a title shot.

He would then later attack Punk and knock him out. Joe’s vicious attack called for a match between the two of them. Both Punk and Joe share a 19-year-old rivalry from the indies, and it would be an exciting affair for the fans to see it go down now.

With The Samoan Submission Machine demanding a match between the two of them at AEW All-In 2023, fans might potentially see this feud enter a new chapter. AEW All-In has already set a record of having the highest gate record of a professional wrestling event in Europe with nearly 80,000 fans.

In their 19-year history, Punk has defeated Joe only once, and that too very recently. Apart from that, Joe holds the record for winning the rest of their matches in singles competition. At AEW All-In. Nearly 80,000 fans would notice their rivalry being played out again, and this time in a new fashion.

With Joe having a significant upper hand in mind games over Punk, fans wonder who will take home the World Title at AEW All-In, if this clash happens.
