CM Punk’s decision to join RAW as an exclusive superstar came after WWE made him take a small tour around. He was seen at RAW on 28th November, at last week’s episode of SmackDown and NXT Deadline PLE. In all of the three brands he met the top individuals of the respective brand.

But, after having a careful eveluation of the options, he signed the deal with Adam Pearce on this week’s RAW. The decision will help CM Punk, WWE, and RAW.

The signing has not only helped boost TV ratings for RAW as evident from the first appearance of CM Punk after Survivor Series. His presence will also help WWE fetch a better deal for RAW’s TV broadcasting deal as they plan to move away from FOX Network. As of now, Warner Bros, Amazon, and Disney are top contenders for the new broadcasting and media rights.

For Punk, it is a safe haven as RAW has substantial amount of upper-card superstars to feud and many mid-carders to job for Punk. Currently, he is set to feud against Seth Rollins who was also used to push Cody Rhodes upon his arrival.
